​Heritage Care provides free nursing assistant training to our community members that are interested in entering the field of healthcare. This program is a great first step for community members that wish to pursue a career in healthcare.

The National DPP is the CDC-recognized lifestyle change program, a research-based program focusing on healthy eating and physical activity which showed that people with prediabetes who take part in a structured lifestyle change program can cut their risk of developing type 2 diabetes. This program will be a hybrid program that is both virtual via Zoom and in-person once every two weeks at our facility in Riverdale.

Este programa ayuda a las personas con prediabetes participar en actividades de cambios de estilo de vida de alta calidad, de bajo costo y basados en la evidencia, a fin de reducir su riesgo de diabetes Tipo 2 y mejorar su salud general. Este programa los participantes se reuniran cada dos semanas persona y/o por Zoom.

Community Health Workers are trained public health workers who serve as a bridge between communities, health care systems, and state health departments. Heritage Care provides this trainning to our community at no cost.

Los promotores de salud o trabajadores de salud comunitaria, son representantes de salud de la comunidad con el sistema de salud y el departamento de salud. Heritage Care provee este programa para la comunidad sin ningun costo.
